Challenge

Sanetti and HGC requested to digitize their product line by developing a 3D product configurator and completing the entire digitalization of its products. The primary objective was to empower end-users with an interactive tool that allowed them to explore and personalize products while visualizing all possible combinations of elements and materials in real time with high fidelity.

Solution

The project consisted of two primary components:

Product Digitalization

The digitalization process involved:

  • 3D Modeling and Optimization: Creating or optimizing 3D models of the Sanetti product line to ensure top-quality visuals and optimal performance across devices.
  • Texturing and Preparation: Applying high-quality, realistic textures to the models while preparing variable elements for seamless customization.
  • Element Combinations: Structuring and defining clear combinations of product elements (product sheets), which were essential for the configurator to function accurately.

Product Configurator Development

The configurator provided users with a dynamic and intuitive tool to personalize Sanetti products in all predefined variants, including materials, colors, and combinations. Key functionalities included:

  • Real-Time 3D Visualization: Users could see their configurations come to life instantly.
  • Interactive Customization: Customers can select product features and create their ideal configurations effortlessly.
  • Pricing Transparency: The tool displayed the final price associated with each selected configuration, ensuring clarity and trust during the decision-making process.

  • Optimization and Texturing:
    The team optimized and textured 36 unique 3D models from the Sanetti line, ensuring high-quality visuals while maintaining efficiency.

    Each 3D model was seamlessly integrated into the configurator, allowing users to interact with all 36 configurations effortlessly.
  • Hosting and Support:
    The configurator was deployed on a robust hosting platform and backed by a year-long support service to ensure reliability and continuous customer satisfaction.
